Story of The Girl

I worked with The Vavengers to create this short film representing the stories of survivors of gender based violence. The girl is all the girls The Vavengers have supported and continue to support, and campaign, convene and connect so that we can build a world where no other girl is subjected to any form of violence.

I worked closely with The Vavengers CEO Sema Gornall to bring her script to life including visual storytelling, storyboarding, character design, illustration animation and overall art direction of the project. The feedback from the women who experienced the issues highlighted in the film has been overwhelmingly positive.

Story of the Girl premiered at the United Nations Headquarters in 2025 during UNGA80.
